Buenas, Thirdies.
I’ve got some news today, so let’s get started.
xoxo,
Edo
In a shocking turn of events, I have gotten a job in Pittsburgh! Working a full time position means that I can no longer teach my private classes remotely. The schedules don’t match up, and quite frankly, I just don’t want to do it anymore. (Sorry, kiddos.) On Saturday, I taught my final private class. At 9.30 in the morning, I logged off of Zoom and dragged my teaching materials folder into the bin. It’s official - I am no longer a teacher. I am no longer a teacher!!
This is…huge. I’ve been teaching for the past 10 years. And to be completely honest, I haven’t been enjoying it for a really long time. Before the pandemic, my life consisted of working school hours, and then running around to clients’ houses until 9 or 10 at night. Then, it all shifted to online. A marginally better situation because it’s more comfortable but just as much work.
I’ll never have to prepare a class on the fly. I’ll never have to play jenga with class schedules. I’ll never have to discuss a student’s progress with their parents. I’ll never have to hound parents to pay me for previous classes. I’ll never have to deal with cancellations as I’m on route to their house. I’ll never have to teach again.
I mean never say never. I’ve probably just jinxed myself.
Anyway, RIP Teacher Edward. 2014-2023.
Ever since I moved back to Pittsburgh, I’ve been on my snail mail bullshit.
My USPS era, if you will.
It’s mostly because my grandfather has a bunch of stamps. So, they’re at my disposal. And, there’s a cute little card shop up street where I can get some nice stationery. I bought a nice astrology themed card set. A recent addition to my desk drawer is Pittsburgh themed. On top of that, I get to use my wax seal that a friend of mine gifted me ages ago. (ty, Bobby.) And who doesn’t like to get mail?
A lot of you have already received some mail/are on the list. But, if you’d like to receive a little something from Pittsburgh or move up the list, crawl into my dms or shoot me a text. And make sure you tell me your address. My contacts should be up to date. But, you never know!
This includes international readers as well. I’ll shell out the money for your fancy postage.
Some important birthdays are coming up, so I figured I’d include a photoshop or two to celebrate.
This Friday is everyone’s favourite holiday, St. Nattie’s Day.
And to celebrate the start of Aries season on Monday.
Happy birthday, gals! Here’s to another year around the sun!
This job search vibe!!
Call My Agent. (I’m late to the game. I know.)
This fucking song on LOOP.
Also, this fucking song on loop!!
The music video to Les glaçons. (Don’t know how I missed this?)
Two new Eurovision entries by Mae Muller and Loreen. (LOREEN!!!!!!! AHHHHH)
